Fishing
Horwood Lake has over 100 miles of shoreline. Fishing
in the lake is excellent at anytime of day from May
to October.
The
lake is renowned for exceptional Pickerel (Walleye)
and Northern Pike fishing, and the Perch fisherman
will also be rewarded.
There
is also a screened fish cleaning room with running
water and a freezer for taking home your catch.
Boat
and Motor rentals
are available.
LICENCES: Fishing (and hunting if you intend
to hunt) licences must be purchased before you get
to camp. Visit the Ontario
MNR Web Site for more information and online licence
purchases.
NOTE:
There are 7 Fish Sanctuaries in operation on Horwood
Lake from approx. May 12 through June 14th which results
in some areas being closed to fishing during this
time. The sanctuaries represent only 12 miles out
of 128 miles of shoreline and excellent fishing is
still available at this time. |
